Combining the Ease of Use of Water-based Adhesive with Heat-Activation for Molecularly Engineered Flexibility and Strength of Crosslinked Polyurethane:
CORAL Industries have been manufacturing and supplying contact cement adhesives for assembly of wood, leather, fabrics, laminates, plastics, foams into industrial and commercial products since 1968.
Heat activated crosslinked polyurethane is a one-component polyurethane adhesive a water-based adhesive system for ease of use in any production environment. It is designed for shoe production (gluing soles from polyurethane, man-made and genuine leather, rubbers, TEP, PVC, etc.). Fast to glue and resistant to high temperatures.
Applications:
- Contact adhesive (contact cement)
- Bonding of polymeric foams: Polyurethane, Ethafoam, wood, hardboard, rubber. fabrics, Velcro, HPL or decorative laminates to particle board, bonds leather, plastics, plywood, hardboard, OSB, MDF, milled lumber, lacuna to counter and cabinet tops, metals, fabrics and paper board stock.
Adhesive Forms and Dispensing:
- Brush, roller or spray coating

- Control flow properties from free flowing to controlled flow with thixotropic properties
- For best bonding results: apply adhesive on both sides of substrates
- Ease of use with contact bonding time from 2-30 minutes after applying adhesive
- Heat activated version for ultimate bond strength with flexibility of polyurethane after short exposure above 60ºC
- >6 Months shelf life when stored below 45®C
